More crime means dissatisfied citizens, corruption, and stuff that hurts my profits. Crime I always try and put out enough police stations to keep that in check. Pollution I usually put a few waste facilities in my heavy pollution areas, not many though, and activate a few Edicts to get rid of waste. Obviously the pay is up to you but I've found that paying your workers well translates into low job turnover/high productivity which means nothing interferes with your profits (at least from your citizens)ĩ - Pollution/Crime. If you need an example of what to try for, all Illiterates pay Well Payed, High Schoolers pay Rich, and College employees pay Filthy Rich. If your being cheap and not paying enough, you won't get alot of new people coming to your island AND your citizens will start leaving slowly. If your citizens are all being paid nicely, your island attracts more new people. Otherwise don't do it unless you like fighting rebels alot.Ĩ - If you want/need more immigrants to fill up your businesses make sure to pay your people well. Doing it to buy something you really need, if you know your balance will be positive real soon, is usually ok.
The longer it stays negative, the more unfriendly your people will start acting. I would avoid Multiplayer until they fix this (which hopefully they will soon).ħ - Try and avoid letting your money balance stay negative too long. You cannot SAVE in a multiplayer game and also multiplayer games run very fast which does not give most people enough time to actually make good choices. That way your Teamsters don't become too overworked/confused leaving you with buildings unable to produce more stuff because their storage is full.Ħ - Multiplayer is bugged (most people already know this). I have had 1 production building with 2 teamsters (1 on each side) and after awhile they start falling behind (not sure if it is because of other priorities, the production building workers become better skilled and produce more, or a bug) so I would suggest put at least 2-3 Teamsters close to each Production building and if possible try not to put production buildings too close together. They keep you in power.ĥ - Production building end up taking ALOT of close by Teamsters to move supplies. ALWAYS pay your soldiers very well and buy their upgrades when you can. Buy Machine Guns if you can and put the towers around important buildings like your moneymakers and palace. Choosing High Priority should cause all your troops (or most of them) to move toward that target instead of running around crazily. When you click on the crosshairs you can choose something (believe it is like high priority, low priority?) which gives you a little control of your troops. These are the targets your enemies are planning on attacking. If you put them all over the place, they will fight the enemies one group at a time, causing your troops to take more casualties and not killing enemies fast enough.ĪLSO - when your being attacked enemy targets (your buildings) will show black crosshairs above them. That way when your troops are activated they move as a big, strong, group. So right there you will slowly, but surely, be making a profit UNLESS you pick a product that your island uses! So if you have tons of Jewelers do NOT choose Gold as the product.Ĥ - Group all your barracks together, and all your bases together. Example: setup 1 ship to go buy Oil from Middle East at 2,000 then you setup 1 ship to go sell Oil to USA for 6,000.
